Bulgur is a type of wheat cereal. Wheat grains are pre -treated with boiling water, then dried and finely crushed. Bulgur is widely represented in the kitchens of eastern countries, in India and Pakistan.
Such cereals contain many vitamins and useful trace elements, it is rich in complex carbohydrates and fiber, therefore it is well suited for dietary nutrition. Bulgur calories are about 350 kcal. The product has a useful effect on the human digestive system, effectively cleanses the intestines.
Bulgur is prepared in much the same way as simple white rice, unless they are washed so carefully. The cereal is poured with steep boiling water in a ratio of 1: 2, put to cook and periodically stir, making sure that it does not stick to the bottom of the dishes. Bulgur is cooked quickly, no longer than 15 minutes.
Adherents of healthy foods can steam wheat to save the maximum benefit in it. In the double boiler, you can hold Bulgur longer - about half an hour. The porridge prepared for a couple will be much more crumbly than boiled in water.
Group is often used in salads, and for such a purpose it is not boiled at all, but simply wrapped with boiling water for 2 hours. Water, which was not absorbed, is subsequently drained through a colander.

- dried coriander - 1 tsp;
- turmeric - 1 tsp;

We will prepare a bulgur in a slow cooker in this way:
- We remove the skin from the breast, wash the fillet and cut into cubes. Finely chop dried apricots and pistachios, onions with garlic.
- In sunflower oil in a multicier bowl, fry the onion with garlic. First we wait until the onion is subcuttled, then add the garlic and interfere with the seconds of 30. To do this, we need to use the “baking” mode.
- The time has come for spices - we pour them into a multicier shape, mix with a ray and garlic. Literally after a minute, when the mass is slightly fried, add chicken fillet along with dried apricots and nuts.
- At this stage, the dish is slightly sunbathing. After a couple of minutes, add dry bulgur, fry it for 3 minutes and pour 2 cups of boiling water. We taste, salt.

Bulgur with asparagus, peas and cheese in a slow cooker
This recipe resembles the preparation of risotto. Only in risotto the main ingredient is rice, and we replaced it with a bulgur. To prepare cereals in a slow cooker, we will use:
- bulgur - 1.5 cups;
- white half -dry wine - 1.5 cups;
- fat cream - 100 g;
- olive oil - 3 tbsp.;
- broth or boiling water - 4 glasses;
- onions - 2 small heads;
- garlic - 3 cloves;
- grated cheese - 1.5 cups;
- green peas - 2 glasses;
- asparagus - 8 stems;
- salt.
Here's how we will prepare a bulgur with asparagus and peas in a slow cooker:
- We cut the bulbs with small cubes, chop the cloves of garlic with plates. In hot olive oil in the "Frying" mode, fry the onion, after 10 minutes we add garlic, we will interfere with 30 seconds.
- Pour dry bulgur, mix with onions so that the cereal is saturated with hot oil. Pour 2 cups of preheated broth or simple boiling water. After 5 minutes, pour white wine. We constantly stir the dish, follow the degree of readiness of cereals, add a little broth.
- We clean and cut into pieces of asparagus. When the bulgur becomes soft, add asparagus and ice cream or fresh green peas.
- While the asparagus is preparing with porridge, sweating a grater. As soon as the asparagus becomes soft, add cream and cheese to the bulgur, mix. We cook the bulgur in a slow cooker for a few more minutes until the cheese melts.
Bulgur pilaf in a slow cooker
Bulgur is a beautiful replacement of rice in many dishes, even in traditional pilaf. We describe the recipe for pilaf from a bulgur in a slow cooker, where we will use minced meat, vegetables and prunes. Here is our list of ingredients:
- bulgur - 200 g;
- pork minced meat - 0.5 kg;
- onion - 1 pc.;
- prunes - 100 g;
- vegetable oil - 4 tbsp.;
- carrots - 1 pc.;
- dried paprika - 1 tsp;
- broth - 0.5 l;
- parsley, mint - to taste;
- salt is to taste.
Let's prepare pilaf from a bulgur in a slow cooker:
- We clean and cut into small pieces all the vegetables. We divide the prunes into quarters, chopped fresh parsley and mint.
- We activate the “Baking” mode on the device panel, heat the oil. We are the first to fry the onion, it will take about 5 minutes. Then, together with the onion, fry the carrot for another 3 minutes. Then, in the future pilaf, add prunes and paprika. We will interfere and sweat for 2 minutes.

- dried tomatoes - 200 g;
- butter - 50 g;
- vegetable oil - 100 g;
- salt - to taste;
- mint, parsley, basil - 1 bundle;
- sharp pepper - 1 pc.
Cook Bulgur in a slow cooker according to the following technology:
- Drive the cereal into the multicier saucepan and pour boiling water in a ratio of 1: 2, salt. In the preparation mode of the cereals or in the “Extinguishing” program, we cook the bulgur in the slow cooker until the liquid disappears completely.
- Add butter to the porridge, let it reach the heating for another 10 minutes.
- Wash the greens, chop. In a bowl we dilute vegetable oil with lemon juice, crushed garlic and finely chopped spicy pepper. Add there greens and cut dried tomatoes.

In this recipe, we use bulgur as a thick soup - Shorba ingredient. There are many components in such a soup, including two varieties of meat, an abundance of vegetables, spices and herbs. Shorbu with a bulgur in a slow cooker we will prepare from:
- bulgur - 150 g;
- chickpeas - 150 g;
- lamb - 300 g;
- chicken fillet - 300 g;
- zucchini - 1 pc.;
- carrots - 1 pc.;
- tomatoes - 4 pcs.;
- lemon - 1 pc.;
- potatoes - 3 pcs.;
- luke - 1 pc.;
- tomato paste - 3 tbsp.;
- vegetable oil - 4 tbsp.;
- cins, mint - 1 bundle;
- cinnamon - 1/3 tsp;
- zira - ½ tsp;
- black pepper, salt.
Here's how Sorba is preparing with a bulgur in a slow cooker:
- We will cut the meat with not very small pieces - lamb and chicken. We clean all those vegetables that need to be cleaned, we just wash the rest. Weat medium -sized cubes. We cover the mint and cilantro.
- We immediately send meat and vegetables to the multicooker bowl, salt, season with all spices, add tomato paste, vegetable oil, chickpeas. That is, we put everything in the multicier shape except greens, lemon and bulgur.
- Pour boiling water into the dish to about half the level of products. We activate the Extinguishing program.
- Stew vegetables with meat for 20 minutes. Sometimes they mix them.
- We add another 1.5 liters of boiling water to the bowl and simmer for another 50 minutes in the same mode.
- We pour Bulgur into the dish and cook it in a slow cooker with other products for 10 minutes.
- We put lemon and greens before the presentation. We cut the lemon into thin circles and lay out on plates, then generously decorate the portions with chopped herbs.
Bulgur and minced meat in a slow cooker
Instead of ordinary meat meatballs, try making meatballs with bulgur. Krupa will make them magnificent and softer, give a more crumbly consistency. For such a dish, we use the following:
- bulgur - ¼ cup;
- minced meat - 500 g;
- flour - 1 tbsp.;
- onion - 1 pc.;
- garlic - 2 cloves;
- salt pepper;
- yogurt without additives - 200 ml;
- sunflower oil for frying;
- greens - 1 bundle.
Let's prepare meatballs from bulgur in a slow cooker like this:
- We boil water in the kettle, steam the bulgur for half an hour. It is advisable to take small cereal, designed specifically for cutlets.
- We very finely chop the bulb or grind it in a meat grinder. The meat, if it is a whole piece, is also turned into minced meat.
- Mix the minced meat with onions, salt and pepper, flour and steamed croup. Mix everything thoroughly.
- We sculpt small meatballs from this mass. Large should not be done, otherwise they will break up during frying.
